21st March: Donate to Food Bank

“13 million people live below the poverty line in the UK. Every day people in the UK go hungry for reasons ranging from redundancy to receiving an unexpected bill on a low income.”

As a response to this, food banks have been set up all over the country. For your local food bank click here.

In Milton Keynes, we have a pick up point in ASDA so we intend to put something in the collection basket each time we leave the store. This week, we left them Coco Pops and Fairtrade tea!

The Food Bank provides local families and individuals with essential food supplies at a time when they need them most, covering the days, and sometimes weeks, before other parts of the social care infrastructure can come into play.
